Small Business/Self Employed
Taxpayer Advocacy Panel Members
April 2010
The working equation for the IRS is: Service plus Enforcement equals Compliance. The IRS must run a balanced system of tax administration based on a foundation of taxpayer rights. The members of this issue group will provide input and feedback to the IRS on several current and proposed initiatives that focus on improving Service and/or Enforcement and as an element of improving tax compliance.
The group will have an opportunity to provide their perspectives on issues that taxpayers face. They will also have the opportunity to influence procedures taxpayers must use to comply with their tax obligations. The group’s focus will be to provide feedback and make recommendations on the 2011 IRS Tax Calendar for Small Businesses; Audit Technique Guides; Voluntary Tips Agreements; and Solution Saturday Outreach for Businesses.
